Katharos announces SEED financing round with stellar investor group

Katharos has secured seed financing to accelerate UK recycling infrastructure and support the transition to a circular economy. Backed by an exciting constellation of investors, the company will expand advanced recycling capacity and material recovery solutions to help meet the UK’s 2035 recycling targets.

The funding will primarily drive site acquisition, technical engineering design, and planning permissions for our pipeline of advanced Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs) in strategic industrial hubs across England.

Kareen Boutonnat announced as Katharos Chair

We are delighted to announce that Kareen Boutonnat has been appointed as the Independent Chair of the Katharos board of directors. Kareen brings over two decades of technology and renewable energy experience to our governance structure.

As the former CEO EMEA/APAC for Lightsource bp, she was instrumental in scaling solar development across Europe and Asia, and her stewardship will be invaluable as Katharos continues to scale its circular waste infrastructure development pipeline.
